MAKE SURE YOU HAVE COMPLETED ALL OF THE TASKS FROM THE SCHEDULING STEP BEFORE PROCEEDING.
First, attend the virtual meeting with an Assessment TA to learn more about Element 4 & 5 requirements, what to expect on the day of the CLASS observation, as well as any other information related to the Classroom Observation elements. Learn more about this process by reviewing the Classroom Observation Overview, which can be found to the left.
Before the CLASS Observation date(s), make sure to share the information with teaching staff and parents by distributing the CLASS Observation Notices, which can be downloaded from the button to the left.
Next, participate in the CLASS Observation(s). If the site needs to reschedule the observation, contact LACOE immediately.
After the CLASS Observation(s) have been completed, the site will receive a CLASS Report for each observation conducted. These reports will share helpful information about what was observed and, as well as the scores achieved. In addition to the CLASS Report(s), the site will receive the overall element points for Element 4: CLASS and Element 5: Ratio & Group Size. Once the CLASS Reports and scores have been reviewed, get ready to attend the virtual meeting to review the Child File Review process.
- Attend the virtual meeting to review the Classroom Observation
- Distribute CLASS Observation Notices to teachers/parents
- Participate in the CLASS Observation(s)
- Review the CLASS Report(s) with staff after the observation
- Review the points achieved for Element 4: CLASS & Element 5: Ratio & Group Size
- Get ready to attend the virtual meeting to review the Child File Review Elements
